This property is set in the quiet hamlet of Pitton, away from the main road, within an enclosed garden. This old farmhouse was refurbished a few years ago. The accommodation offered is a semi-detached house in the hamlet of Pitton.

The Master Bedroom is located in the old part of the house that dates back to the 1840's. It is a very spacious room, light and airy with exposed floorboards. The feature of the room is the grand 5ft bed that certainly adds a 'wow' factor. There is also plenty of drawer space, a double wardrobe, bedside cabinets and lamps.

The bathroom has exposed floorboaThe bathroom has exposed floorboards and contains a toilet, washbasin, bath and a separate shower cubicle with a shower that is powered from the boiler.

.

There is also a lounge area with a colour tv, a radio/tape player and a DVD player.

.

The large conservatory is used for dining and a further sitting area. Please note that in severe weather the conservatory does leak in a number of places. We have tried to remedy the situation without success.

There is double glazing and central heating throughout the property.

.

The fully fitted kitchen is complete with washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee machine, food mixer, gas cooker and hob and electric George Foreman grill. A kitchen towel, tea towel etc. is provided. Should you need them, there is also an iron, an ironing board and clothes airer.

.
The house is set in an elevated position and is reached from the lane up a flight of about fifteen steps. Anybody with walking difficulties, may find the steps a bit of a problem. The rooms downstairs overlook part of the garden, the rooms upstairs look out over the fields and the valley.

There is plenty of off-road parking space, just across the lane from the house.

Local Area:
Rhossili is located at the most Western part of the Gower Peninsula. The most photographed part of Gower, The Worms Head, stretches out to sea and becomes an island when the tide comes in. The breathtaking view is completed by the long sandy beach and the towering cliffs and this makes it a popular destination throughout the year with surfers, paragliders and ramblers. However, Rhossili still manages to maintain its tranquility and unspoilt beauty.

.

The village and surrounding area are steeped in history. The prominent wreck of the Helvetia, which ran aground on Rhossili Bay in November 1887 bears witness to the challenging weather conditions and the tales of our ancestors, who lured boats ashore to plunder their hold. The arch over the doorway of the church dates from the twelfth century and is believed to have been moved from the lost village (built in around 1100 and buried possibly by sand storms some time in the early part of the fourteenth century). Remains of stone age man were found in Paviland cave and fourteen Bronze Age burial chambers have been identified on Rhossili Down.

The parish of Rhossili stretches from the village itself towards Scurlage and encompasses the hamlets of Middleton, Pitton and Pitton Cross. There are plenty of establishments that offer various types of accommodation and many coves and beaches to visit and spend an afternoon.

Walkers are most definitely in their element with some of the most fantastic views on offer and Rhossili has been voted as one of hte best places to see an amazing sunset. We are just 10-15 minutes walk from the beautiful bay of Mewslade. Rhossili bay is about a mile away and we can reach it by foot in about 20-25 minutes. Fall Bay, is in between the two. The start of Rhossili Down can be reached by foot in about ten minutes. The nearest restaurant/licensed premises is in Rhossili.
