The surrounding area ...

Crofty is a small village, nestling the North Gower Peninsula. It has wonderful views across Llanrhidian Marsh, toward Llanmadoc hill and Whitford Lighthouse.
The village has many paths to amble along, including hill and marsh. The village has a pub and shop/post office a few hundred yards away.
The village is within 5 or 10 minutes driving distance of various places to eat. These include a Chinese and Indian restaurant, two very good fish and chip shops, a Harvester and many pubs which offer a good menu.

Full tide at sunset

The city of Swansea with its modern shopping complex, indoor shopping centre, casino, many pubs and restaurants, marina and nightlife is only 20 minutes drive away.
All the beaches and villages on Gower are within easy access of Crofty, making it the perfect base for your holiday.

Avonlea B&B offers views across Llanrhidian Marsh and Estuary, which are both beautiful and ever changing.  The estuary has the second fastest tidal rise and fall in the world.
There are a variety of activities to participate in whilst visiting the Gower. These include water sports, pony trekking and riding, bush craft and trails, climbing, coast steering, surfing, mounting boarding and organised walks.
